What is an Assistant Pro?

An assistant pro is a reliable, affordable, professional personal assistant. Anyone with a passion for helping others can be an assistant pro. However, not everyone who applies becomes one.


What is required to be an Assistant Pro?

All Assistant Pros must pass a full background check, must be endorsed by a former employer, and — in addition to references — must pass a two-step interview process.


Are Assistant Pros licensed personal assistants?

Assistant Pro is defining an emerging industry — that of the part-time personal assistant. As such, our Jr. Assistant Pros must undergo initial training, as well as ongoing training to qualify for the various upper levels of personal assistance offered by Assistant Pro.


Can you keep my secret?

Of course! All Assistant Pros are required to sign a strict confidentiality agreement. In fact, we have a saying here at Assistant Pro: “We don’t air your dirty laundry — we wash and fold it!”


Are Assistant Pros available on demand?

At Assistant Pro, we want to be available for you whenever you need us! That is why we offer a membership option to guarantee that an assistant will be available to handle your requests on a regularly scheduled basis. However, life happens, and so to accommodate last minute requests, Assistant Pros can be available with as little as same-day notice.*


How soon can an Assistant Pro start?

We can start as early as the same day of your initial visit. We are just as eager to get to work as you are to put us to work! If you would like your Assistant Pro to begin work ASAP, be sure to let your brand representative know!


How do you match Assistant Pros with customers?

We assign Assistant Pros to customers by location, availability, and skill set. Our Assistant Pros remain on a training journey to serve our highest level packages. Depending on your package preference — and location relative to nearby Assistant Pros — we’ll assign the perfect pro for you!


Ok! I want an Assistant Pro. Now what?

Although we can start your account virtually, we recommend meeting with a brand representative so we can better answer questions as they arise, and get started on your to-dos! Our brand representative will go over important information such as:

● Terms & Conditions
● Cancellation/refund policy
● Package details
● Payment processing

It’s our goal to address any of your concerns about having your very own personal assistant. Just know that even though your assigned assistant becomes your primary point of contact, your brand representative will stay hands-on for additional accountability and customer service, such as:

● Schedule changes
● Additional service packages
● Request to change assistant
● Update payment information


Shut up and take my money!

No need to worry about paying your assistant every shift. Our automatic recurring payments ensure that your package requirement is fulfilled prior to your Assistant Pro’s visit. If you have a request that an Assistant purchase something on your behalf, you may:

● Provide them with cash/check
● Purchase a prepaid debit card with a budget for their use
● Venmo/CashApp/Apple Pay them

For security purposes, providing them with your credit card is not recommended. However, ordering an extension of that card with pre-set limits for their regular use on your behalf would be efficient (we recommend collecting receipts, confirming budgets, and monitoring extension cards frequently — for your protection and for the integrity of our assistants).


My Assistant Pro is awesome! Can I offer them a tip?

Assistant Pro is the only insured and bonded concierge staffing agency in the state of Florida with W-2 employees. Our team loves working for us because the work is rewarding and the pay is competitive. While clients have been known to tip for exceptional performance, tipping is certainly not the expectation for our Assistant Pro — they appreciate your trust and confidence in regularly handing over those to-dos to keep them working.


My Assistant Pro is awesome! Can they quit Assistant Pro to work for me?

Assistant Pros are awesome — and although we look for that quality in everyone who applies to work for us, it’s our culture of training and development that makes our Assistant Pros indispensably wonderful. Therefore, any and all employment opportunities that arise because Assistant Pro made them possible are subject to terms and conditions.


My Assistant Pro is here and I just remembered something else on my to-do list. Can I ask them to do it for me even though it’s outside of my package?

Absolutely! As long as it’s moral, ethical, and legal, an Assistant Pro can help you with just about anything (as long as it doesn’t jeopardize their health). Simply choose the appropriate add-on — and if your Assistant Pro’s schedule permits — we’ll get started on that task right away. Or, alternatively, ask your Assistant Pro if they can do (x) and we’ll determine what add-on applies later.


I need to come up with an ad campaign for a new client. Can my Assistant Pro help?

As much as we’d love to help in this scenario, generally speaking, if a professional is needed for a task, we’re going to recommend a professional. Not only would they be the most efficient use of your resources, we would never want to give you a false expectation of what we can do.


I love your service, but I don’t love my Assistant Pro. Now what?

As much as we love coming to the rescue, we know as well as you do that sometimes people simply don’t mesh well with one another. If this ever happens and you don’t love your Assistant Pro, let us know and we’ll switch them out for another. If they’re not your cup of tea, we’ll find you a cup of coffee!


Can my Assistant Pro work on a holiday?

Assistant Pro acknowledges seven out of the 10 federal holidays listed below.** In the event that you would like to be serviced on one of these dates, additional charges will apply.


Yikes! I think that’s a flea… can Assistant Pro help with that?

In the event that fleas, lice, bedbugs, or easily contagious bug infestations are discovered in the serviced space, Assistant Pro holds the right to discontinue service that day to prevent contaminating other service areas. If the discovery of infestation occurs while service hours are in use, the full charge will be applied for that day. Your Assistant Pro will be happy to coordinate a pest control company to service the infestation as quickly as possible.
