3 Ways to Celebrate Valentine’s Day

Can you believe Valentine’s Day is coming up already? The year is breezing by! Valentine’s Day is by far the most romantic day of the year. It’s a great opportunity to show your love for your romantic partner, but to also show how much you care to all your loved ones. So, how to celebrate? Today, we are giving you three ideas on how to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Things to do on Valentine’s Day

Dinner & a Movie

The most traditional of all dates is still one of the most popular options for Valentine’s Day. If you are going this route, just make sure to make your reservations way ahead of time. Like now, put this article down and get on the phone right now.

Where to go? You can stick to your favorite restaurant, or venture out and try something new. Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to check out that fancy new restaurant you’ve been eyeing. When calling in to reserve, make sure to ask about their Valentine’s Day menu. Many restaurants offer a special menu this day.

For the movie portion of the evening, you can either go to the latest blockbuster or check out smaller, independent theaters that might have special showings for the day. Nothing like cozying up to your favorite guy while watching a classic romantic movie.

Do Something Unexpected

If dinner and a movie is too traditional for you, why not try something totally different for the special day? From skydiving to going to the beach, to checking out a pottery class to going to the theater, Valentine’s Day is best celebrated when it’s memorable. Talk to your partner and discuss a few places that you’ve been wanting to check out and just go for it! Check out community papers or your town’s Facebook page for announcements from local businesses on what they have going on that day.

Stay In

Dinner and a movie can be very romantic, but restaurants can be extremely full that day. If crowds and prix-fixe menus are not your thing, you can also plan a special night in.

To make an effort to make it memorable, plan a special menu. You can get tons of recipes online (check out some here and here). If cooking isn’t your thing, you can also order in from your favorite restaurant. One thing we recommend is to pick up your food (instead of delivery) so you can make sure to have it on time, since food delivery apps will probably be very busy that day.

As for the rest of the evening, you can watch some classic romantic movies or play couples’ games, such as this one.

Whatever you decide to do on Valentine’s Day, make sure to take some time to remind your loved ones how much they mean to you. You can do this any day, but taking some time out on this special day will surely make it memorable.
